Yoson Tala is the industry’s newest artist sensation. For quite some time now, Yoson Tala has been closely affiliated with the underground hip hop super group T.A.L.A. (To All Loyal Affiliates), and has been known to be linked with the up and coming label GODN, an affiliate of Rap-A-Lot Records.
The fairly well established solo artist seemed to have slipped under the radar of many; however, this futuristic lyricist has made some serious waves on the Midwest hip hop scene, and has fascinated the international hip hop fans during a recent European tour.
He was quoted in a recent interview as saying, “I write day in and day out, no matter what I’m going through, or my mood. I write constantly and since I’ve discovered Electronica rap – it’s sparked a new interest.” He is a firm believer that the key to success in the entertainment industry is the ability to diversify as well as adaptability. Yoson has incorporated essences from the different environments from which he was raised into his music. His “GI” upbringing, and living in such richly diverse places as Miami, FL and Hollywood, CA has surely influenced his degree of diversity.
Aside from that, he also credits his musical genius to the fact that he was influenced by three well respected men, who taught him lessons that range from street etiquette and education to religion and culture. Of Puerto Rican and African descent, his deep roots lend to his versatility, giving him a unique perspective to draw from. This, coupled with all of his life experiences and influences, make him a well rounded man as well as MC. “One of my main strengths as a MC is the ability to get my point across and paint a very vivid picture with words,” Yoson once said; and this fact is clear, as this thoroughbred artist makes his imprint on the entertainment industry as a multifaceted recording artist and song writer.
